Made where American manufacturing started

Pawtucket's Slater Mill, a few minutes from our shop, opened in 1793 and is often called the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. Rhode Island went on to become a center of American jewelry and metalworking.

Mel-Co-Ed is part of that tradition: die-struck findings, emblems and badges, and the tooling skill to make them, still made here.

How we work

What hasn't changed since 1948

Tooling in-house

We build our own dies, with support from our Precision Milling division. Changes, repairs and reorders happen on our floor, on our schedule.

One supplier, one schedule

Tooling, stamping and milling happen in one Pawtucket building, so there is one company accountable for your parts.

Family-owned, long-term

Three generations and 78+ years in the same city. We plan in decades, and so do our customers' programs.

Four divisions

What we do today

Raw Stampings & Findings

Unfinished die-struck blanks, jewelry findings and stamped components supplied to jewelers, craft brands and finishers.

Industrial Components

Short- and long-run stamped metal parts built to print: brackets, clips, contacts, washers, shims and custom flat parts.

Precision Milling

In-house CNC milling for die and tool making, plus machined parts and secondary operations on stamped work.
